Sierra Burgess is a Loser (2018)

A Netflix original, I was first interested because of Shannon Purser who had played Barb in Stranger Things. When I saw the trailer I knew I had to see it. I didn't get to see this the day it released so I got to hear reactions from some of my friends.

Sierra is a misfit, we all feel like that sometimes. She is smarrt and funny but she's not the most attractive girl in school and like the title says she is a loser.

If you saw the trailer you know the basic premise. A boy texts Sierra thinking she is Veronica. Rather than correct him she continues the charade.

The characters seem pretty predictable at points but you really latch onto them. My favorite was Veronica not just because of her name. They gave the pretty girl cheerleader some depth.

Netflix continues to hit it out of the park. They are making all the right choices in my opinion.

Sierra Burgess is a Loser reminds me of a movie from my youth called Angus, another smart fat loser comes to apreciate their worth.
