How To Talk To Girls At Parties (2017)

I knew from the moment I saw the trailer months ago that this was going to be a weird one. Set in the early days of British punk this film follows N (Alex Sharp) and his friends through teenage rebellion. They meet a strange cult and a girl who wants to rebel.
This movie is wicked strange but boy did I love it. It captures that spirit of teenage rebellion that most of us sadly lose. My heart sang when I watched Zan (Elle Fanning) learn how to forge her own path. There is a lot to digest here and a fair amount of subtext.

This movie had some serious heart. I could relate to EVERY character, they were all so fleshed out even when they didn't need to be. Wonderfully written and beautifully executed. This movie is fun and it made me feel too.

God save the queen!
